There's a new, upmarket tea room that's just opened very near me so that's obviously my next tea and cake sorted as soon as I've saved up enough pocket money.Phil in the Kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15904292856978631382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2578151607368747182.post-82775680563176605972019-01-31T13:15:25.705+00:002019-01-31T13:15:25.705+00:00This sounds good. There's a group of old dears, friends I mean, who, like me,love baking cakes. Gives us a chance to try out new recipes! That's our excuse anyway!Snowyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04944724956205419885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2578151607368747182.post-12485856136593697032019-01-28T23:48:49.310+00:002019-01-28T23:48:49.310+00:00I'd like to say that tea and cake doesn't ...I'd like to say that tea and cake doesn't appeal to me these days for healthy eating reasons, but I wouldn't be telling the truth. Sadly (for my waistline if not for my happiness levels), a cup of Assam tea and a slice of cake is still deeply pleasing to me. But then, so is cake and custard or fruit or just cake on its own.Phil in the Kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15904292856978631382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2578151607368747182.post-52905276807684138952019-01-26T09:22:06.879+00:002019-01-26T09:22:06.879+00:00It sounds divine, perfect with poached fruit.

Maybe I should try something other than basic builders' tea and see how that goes down. Though by the time I get around to making it, it might be peach season. So many things to make, so little time!Jean | DelightfulRepast.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02038772991628796917noreply@blogger.com
